4th graders celebrated Kansas Day with treats and a few Virtual Field trips. We visited and learned about John Brown, the Underground Railroad, the Strataca Museum of the Salt Mine, animals of the prairie, and the grasshopper invasion.





Thank you to Christian Church Coterie for providing the "Emergency" boxes filled with wonderful treats.

JH Tiger Basketball Scores: Tough night at the Tiger Den last night as the CC Eagles flew in. A-Boys lost 26-53, B-Boys lost 13-23, C-Boys Won 16-12. Tiger Girls fell to a very strong team. A-Girls lost 16-47 and B-Girls lost 17-33. Keep your chins up Tigers!

Due to school closings and late delays, TVL Scholars Bowl that is scheduled at Troy High School has been postponed. As soon as the final decision is made regarding the new date, it will be shared with you. Good Luck to our Tiger Scholars Bowl team!!

Based on road conditions and moisture continuing to fall, USD 108 will not have school on Wednesday, January 27. If you have to drive, please be safe.

Due to the condition of our many country bus route roads and to allow the clearing crews adequate time to work, USD 108 will not have school on Tuesday, January 26. All activities are canceled.

No school Monday, January 25, 2021 at USD 108! There’s a high probability of lots of snow. Stay home and build a snowman!

Tiger Scholars Bowl in TVL League Play, Wed. 1/27/21 at Troy HS. It's full day of round robin action starting at 9:30AM. Here's our schedule in order of play: CC, D-West, VH, Wetmore, Cent, Han, Onaga . LUNCH! PM play Bye, BV, Frank, Linn, Troy, then Axtel! Go Tigers!

WCHS Tiger Bowling traveled to Abilene's Tornado Alley on Friday. In another dual meet vs. Solomon the boys won the series1657 to 1367. The girls won the series 644-287. Michael Livingston and Allie Rumsey top scores. Next Action: 1/27 @ Topeka Gage Park Bowl 5 Teams.

7 students competed in 10 events at Republic Counties 13 team tournament and came home with medals in 5 events. Competitors and their placings (when applicable) are as follows: Racheal Craig - impromptu speech and informative speech (6th place; )Alyssa Jensen - prose; Garrett Kohlmeyer - poetry and prose; Laura Skupa - impromptu speaking and humorous solo (5th place); Mandy Simmons and Kady Toole - impromptu duet acting (3rd place); Shai Zenger - poetry (2nd and state qualifier) and informative speech (2nd and state qualifier). It was a great start to our season!


WCHS Lady Tigers fall short 33 - 41 to the Centralia Lady Panthers, in final round play in the 2021 TVL Tournament. It was a close game all the way through! Your WCHS Tigers will be home on Tuesday, 1/26/21 for a TVL match-up against the Hanover Wildcats. Good Luck Tigers!

WCHS forensics has its first meet today in Republic County. We had 5 break finals and will compete again this afternoon. Shai Zenger in poetry and informative speech. Mandy Simmons and Kady Toole in IDA, Racheal Craig in informative speech, and Laura Skupa in humorous solo.
