WCHS Greenhouse Plant Sale, Saturday morning only, May 8th! 8am - 11am. With the limited availability caused by the February Freeze-out across the country this year, we have a limited assortment (about 60% of normal) of hanging baskets (geraniums, impatiens, petunias) and some large planters, as well as single foilage plants. We DO NOT have any vegetables this year. Our 8th Grade Ag Students, pictured above, have helped so much with the greenhouse since we did not have an actual Horticulture class this spring. Hopefully next year....we will be back to our normal routine.

WCHS Forensics team members competed at State CHAMPS and State Festival on Saturday, May 1. The meets were held virtually. State CHAMPS is a tournament format competition where students must advance through rounds, finals and semi-finals to place and usually require a top 2 ranking to qualify. Competing on Saturday were Senior Mia Cardenas, prose; Senior Garrett Kohlmeyer, poetry; Junior Laura Skupa, humorous solo acting; Sophomores Abi Sawin and Kady Toole, duet acting. Also qualifying but not competing was Senior Shai Zenger, poetry and informative speech. Sawin and Toole advanced to semi-finals but did not make it to finals and finished in 8th place. In State Festival students present their pieces once and receive a rating. Presenting on Saturday were Senior Alyssa Jensen, prose, 2 rating; Garrett Kohlmeyer, poetry, 2 rating; and Abi Sawin, poetry, 1 rating.
