Washington County Boys Basketball fell to a good Valley Heights team tonight to conclude our season. I feel so bad for my seniors to have had to end their high school basketball career with a season such as this, but, nevertheless, those seniors and the rest of the team had the great pleasure of learning something much more important than winning a basketball game. They learned how to stay together when life throws you many curveballs and learned the true importance of teamwork, leadership, and team unity. It would have been really easy for this group to put their head down and give up early in the year, instead they kept grinding. There never came a point that I had to look at these young men and ask them to give me more effort because every practice and every game they left it all on the court. I’m so proud of the continuous determination this group showed. To many this season may look like a bust, but, to me, it is a season that taught the team many lifelong skills in order to be successful! I hope nothing but absolute greatness for my leaving seniors and I am excited to see the growth in the rest of the team. Thank you to all the fans that cheered us on throughout this year. Your support is much appreciated! #Tiger Strong

The elementary school participated in the Great Kindness Challenge last week. One of our kindness acts as a school was to raise loose change to benefit our local food pantry. Our school raised $1514.83 (average of over $7 per student). The 6th grade ambassadors delivered the check Monday. (Pictured are Allisson, Macie, Anna, Jeannie Walker, Tanner, and Kale. Thank you to all families who donated.
