Our Elementary Tiger Family had assemblies today. Both our K through 2nd and 3rd through 6th grade students talked about Teamwork. Nurse Lisa also went over good hand washing. Did you know you can sing the Tiger Fight Song while hand washing to make sure you have washed long enough?



4th graders are doing great. They told me they are all smiling!

It's PRACTICE TIME for all WCHS/WCJHS athletic teams. All practices start on Monday, August 17, 2020, at 3:15 PM. To participate you must have completed Physical Form, Pre-Activity COVID-19 Questionaire, Personal Water Bottle, and a TIGER STRONG ATTITUDE! Let's Go Tigers!
Junior High Volleyball practice will start Monday, August 17th. Practices will run from 3:30-5:00 with athletes ready for pick up by 5:15. Players need to have signed physicals, concussion release forms, knee pads, and their own water bottle. Coach L’Ecuyer will be sending more information to athletes’ emails.

If you have been to enrollment this morning, please do not order the elementary class composite pictures from last school year for your kids. We found there is a glitch in the system.
Inter-State Photography will be sending our school the pictures. Once we have them, we will let you know and if you want one, you can send $10 with your child to school to get your copy. Sorry for the mess up!

EARLY CHILDHOOD CHILD FIND SCREENINGS 2020-2021
The Learning Cooperative of North Central Kansas will be conducting child find screenings for children ages 3-5 within the cooperative catchment area throughout the year to screen for potential delays in the areas of cognition, communication, fine/gross motor, and social skills. Two options are available for screenings offered by our staff:
Option #1 – Children attending a school district preschool program
The Learning Cooperative of North Central Kansas will be conducting global screenings for all students attending a school district preschool in the Washington County School District on the following date:
October 7th, 2020
These screenings will be conducted during the preschool day and if the child is currently enrolled in the district preschool no appointment will be necessary.
Option #2 – Children not attending a school district preschool program
If your child is experiencing difficulty in the developmental areas of hearing and vision, communication, gross and or fine motor, self-help, social-emotional, or cognitive skills, you may request a screening appointment at anytime by calling the LCNCK office at (785) 243-3294.
**Screenings on days that school has been cancelled due to weather or not being in session for any reason, will be rescheduled**
** If your child is birth to age 3 and you would like your child screened please contact OCCK at (785) 243-1977 **
Enrollment is tomorrow! We will be in the elementary gym from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Please have your paperwork filled out. We are asking for only one adult (no children) per family to attend. Please wear a mask or one will be provided for you. We look forward to seeing you.
