What a fantastic day! Music is alive and well at Washington County!! Our musicians took to the roads this morning bright and early and headed to compete at TVL Music hosted by Valley Heights. We had a fantastic showing for our students. We took a total of 48 students. Competing in Band, Choir, Small Ensembles, Trios, Duets, and Solos!! Everyone did a fantastic job. And our Accomplishments knocked it out of the park! Sheila Ouellette and Kathy Brax never disappoint!! Results are in and wow did we have some great success! And as always we have some fantastic comments to build on! 7-12 Band earned all "Outstanding" top marks ! The band earned 1's from both judges. 9-12 Choir did a great job and battled through a bit of a technical glitch...the piano may or may not have died in the middle of their final song...but they kept going and earned 3's from the judges and we know what we can improve on. We had 3 small ensembles: Flute Duet- Josi and Ava earned a 1 Senior Ensemble- Josi, Ava, Mackenzie , & Natalya earned a 1. Trumpet Trio- Mackenzie, Tucker, Witt earned a 1. We had two percussion soloists: Kelly on a Tom solo earned a 1. Cayden on a Snare solo earned a 1 and on his birthday !! 🎉🥳 7 instrumental solos Zoe Bari Sax solo 1+ Madison with clarinet 1-. Good morning,      Here is the weekly newsletter. As we start the 4th quarter I want to encourage everyone what it means to be a TIGER - Teamwork, Integrity, Grit, Empathy, Reflect & Repeat. These last weeks of school will fly by which can increase stress and anxiety. Don't forget to prioritize self-care and remember to respond, not react. We can do this! #BeTigerStrong
