
Elementary students and staff are encouraged to participate in Stand Up to Bullying Week theme days this week.


Trunk or treat community event this Saturday. All ages invited. Decorate your vehicle and pass out treats and/or bring your children & receive treats. The weather forecast looks perfect. Make plans to be at the courthouse in Washington from 4-6pm. Please wear a mask.


XC Boy's Regional Results for WCHS. Liam Cordry (FR) was in the thick of things, coming up just short at the finish line. He too got bubbled out of a State trip, with 21st and time of 20:07. Drake Baker finished 25th at 20:52. Great things ahead for both of these Tigers!

WCHS KSHSAA Regional XC Results: Huge shout out to Freshman Kiersten Tholstrup who competed very well in an extremely loaded 2A regional. Her strong finish of 25:42 and 16th place, put her right out the State-Bound bubble. Ouch! Proud and thankful of your dedication & grit!

Thank you Lady Tigers for an outstanding season! Always tough to see a season come to an end, but your 17-8 record, your many improvements, and your never give up attitude will always be treasured! You battled hard against Wabaunsee Chargers at Sub-State who went on to win it!

WCJHS Girls and Boys Basketball practices starting on Monday, Nov. 2, 2020. Practices are every day 3:20PM to 5:00PM. Power Zone bus will start running again on Monday, Nov. 9th, so parents you will need to make travel plans for that first week. Let's go Washington JH Tigers

Next week, the Washington County FFA Chapter will be participating in the 2020 National FFA Convention in a virtual format throughout the event. The Convention will run from Tuesday October 27-Thursday October 29th. Students will be allowed to participate in sessions and other interactive workshops and programs that the National FFA has created to bring this experience to the members.
A highlight for the Washington County FFA this year will be Ryan Stewart, 2017 Graduate, will be recognized as a National Finalist for the Star in Agricultural Placement Award. National Winners are announced on Wednesday evening, October 28th, during the 4th session that will be broadcast live 6pm - 8pm.

The 5th graders studied balanced and unbalanced forces in Science and applied these concepts by building their own catapults! The kids did a great job and it was a lot of fun seeing what they came up with!
